Salutations fellow Bloggers!
Ok... so maybe my title might be a little melodramatic... but really these past 3 weeks have been horrible... Exams and Tests and Practicals and Papers.... all due in these past 3 weeks....
So Andrey and I have decided to celebrate today and just give ourselves a little reward for plowing through these couple of weeks and putting our best foot forward.
Here are some things I like to do when I'm giving myself a reward after having an intense school week(s).
1) I love to just come home and take a nap...
With all that studying and reading and writing, you probably have wracked up a sleep debt and trust me... that 3 hour nap (or maybe longer, depends on how long you've been pushing yourself) will do you the world of good. Just don't even set an alarm, that way you can just sleep as long as your body needs to recuperate
2) I love to reward myself with some ice-cream or sweet concoction...
During the school weeks, I try to eat healthy and wholesome meals, and I try to either eat a bunch of fruits and veggies for snacks or I eat a bunch of granola bars and little snack packs. If I have been really good about eating healthy, then I'll reward myself with a bowl of salted caramel ice cream with some fudge hard shell on top.... If I've been not so good and have been eating too many of those snack packs, or too many chips and carbohydrates, then I have a tall glass of smoothie. I have a Ninja Blender and it has an individual size cup that gives you the option to make single serve smoothies (Andrey loves this and always has me make him one if we have the fruit and I have the time). It's delicious and sweet! And I've learned that sometimes the best recipes are the simplest ones!
3) I love to clean the house
During these kind of high-stress weeks, our house tends to look like a mini-tornado hit it, so I like to try and take one hour and do a quick cleanse of the house: make the bed, put away the clothes in either the closet or the laundry bin, put in some laundry to wash, straighten up my office, throw away all unimportant papers, straighten up the kitchen, do the dishes, clean the stove-top, straighten the living room and fold all the blankets, and even sometimes I'll take a little extra time and pledge our furniture. If you have a clean house, it really helps in raising your spirit and making your inner-self feel clean!
4) I love to just relax and watch my favorite TV show...
I've been really good lately and stay away from all Netflix and such when I'm in one of these school weeks of intense studying (we don't have cable which helps a lot!) so when the week(s) is/are over, Andrey and I will watch either a movie that we've been meaning to watch or we binge-watch a TV show that we both enjoy. Right now, our favorite show it the Nanny, a show from the 1990's. IT'S AMAZING! Right now, we're just watching it on YouTube because we can't find it anywhere else, but if you can then let me know!
I hope these tips and little suggestions help you out and if you have any questions just comment down below and don't forget to subscribe to see what's going on in this little Ukrainian's Life Adventure ;)
Bye now darlings!
