Beauty Haul Bonanza!
So the other day I went to CVS Pharmacy because I had just gotten paid and I wanted to browse their hair and skin care and as well as their makeup counter. This is not going to be a review of the items purchased because I'm going to be trying them later on, and some of them are actually presents for other people. So let's get started, shall we?

The first item on the list (drum roll please)... Garnier was having a 3 for $10 sale at CVS so I figured why not get three! So the first product I bought is the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Fortifying Shampoo. It is 94% biodegradable (totally cool!) and contains no Silicone, no Parabens, and no Dye and also has Acerola Berry Antioxidant in it. It's mainly for Normal Hair and it claims to give stronger, healthier hair with no weigh down. I have actually used this product before and when I did use it I LOVED it because it left my hair super soft (and natural because it didn't have chemicals in it!) and it smelled great! It actually smells kinda citrusy which is great for a pick me up in the mornings.

The second product I bought is the Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Fortifying Shampoo with energizing Caffeine, fortifying biotin and fruit vitamins. It's made for falling or breaking hair and it stimulates your hair when you massage it into the scalp, preventing breakage for fuller looking hair. It smells like pineapples and lemons... but in general it smells deliciously fruity :)
The third product was the Garnier Fructis Daily Care 2in1 Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner. It has Grapefruit Antioxidants and Natural Proteins. It's for normal hair and it strengthens and energizes for a healthy shine. And it actually does smell like grapefruit! I've known all the Garnier Fructis products to not smell disgustingly sweet and cloying, but they rather have a nice fruit scent that is refreshing :)

I then looked at the other shampoos/conditioner and saw one that was eighty-two cents (I KNOW RIGHT?) and was like "Woah! I need to see this". It's Alberto's VO5 Tea Therapy revitalizing shampoo in blackberry sage tea. It says it's formulated to be revitalizing and give hair volume and bounce and energizes limp locks and restores hair's natural beauty. So I wanted to try this shampoo out to compare it to other shampoos (such as Garnier Fructis) and see if it's the same or even better in performance.
The next product I got is actually a present for my dad. My dad LOVES Old Spice and I got him some of their body wash. It's part of the fresh collection and is called Denali and OH.MY.GOSH. It smells AMAZING. It's description is "smells like wilderness, open air, and freedom" which I found kinda funny, but I really can not express to you how good it smells....
So next I got two Revlon products. The first one I got was the Revlon PhotoReady Primer + Shadow in the color/number 505 Impressionist. It comes with five colors: a primer, one for the lid, one for the crease, one for the brow bone, and then a general highlighter to add shimmer. It also comes with two dual tip applicators. It's very pigmented, such that I barely put my finger on the product and I had already picked up a good amount of it. It looks pretty cool, and there's a lot of shimmer involved so I'm pretty excited to try it out ;)

The other Revlon product that I got was the Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious in 001 Blackest Black. It's a waterproof mascara that gives you volume and length. It says, "the formula with strengthening proteins, amino acids, and essential vitamins, revitalizes lashes. The illusionist wand drenches lashes for dramatic volume and combs through lashes for clump-free length". The brush isn't a curved one (which I actually like) and it's pretty big so I can't wait to try it out. The packaging is very eye catching as well because it's purple, green and pink and looks really cool ;)

I also got some lip balms. The first one is a present that I bought for my best friend because she loves citrusy scents and she loves EOS - evolution of smooth - lip balms so I got her the one in the flavor tangerine. It says it's 95% natural with vitamins, zinc and shea butter. I have the one in sweet mint and I love it. I especially love playing with the packaging it comes in. But when it comes down to it, it's just a chapstick and it honestly doesn't really do any better of a job than any other chapstick. I also bought another one and this one was the Blistex simple and sensitive hypo-allergenic and non-irritating formula chapstick. It says it hydrates with Cocoa Butter, Jojoba, and Sunflower Seed Oil, contains just six ingredients and has no flavor, no fragrance, and no color.
So the last two products I bought were Maybelline New York 24hr Color Tattoo by Eyestudio eyeshadow. I bought the one in 34 Tough as Taupe and the one in 70 Barely Branded. Both are ridiculously pigmented and have a creamy consistency which I find fascinating since I've never used a creamy eyeshadow before. I can't wait to see how it wears, although this 24hr claim seems little bit far fetched for me.... ;)
Well, there you have it! My beauty haul! I didn't include information on the SlimQuick product because I'm still debating on whether or not to use it, so I'll keep you guys posted on that!:) I hope you enjoyed this post, and there are more to come most definitely! Next I'll be giving a review on some products that I've been trying out so far this month, and how much I like or dislike them :) Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe! God Bless!

Hey y'all! Just wanted to see how you guys were doing; how's everyone's weekend?? Well I wanted to review another product for you guys and this one is not for the face but rather it's for the hair!
It's the Garnier Fructis Style Sleek and Shine Flat Iron Perfector Straightening Mist with Argan oil. It says it's made for a 48-hour straight finish and protects against heat, leaving the hair smooth and shiny.
Let's just start off with describing what type of hair I have. At the moment, my hair is medium length and it is neither too thick nor too thin, but rather is right in the middle. The trouble is that it gets greasy pretty quickly (within like 1.5 days) so I've always been wary about using oils or any kind of product with oils in my hair because I am always worrying about the grease factor. That's one of the reasons I really liked this product - because it did not leave my hair greasy! I love to straighten my hair and I have never used a heat protectant before because I never really knew about them. But when I started watching vlogs and realized that I needed to start using some because I didn't want my hair to be damaged.
This product did exactly what it said it would. I sprayed it into my dry (not damp, and a side note, NEVER flat iron your hair when it's damp or wet because that's like one of the worst things you could do to it!) hair and immediately flat ironed the hair and it made my hair beautifully shiny and silky smooth. Usually when I straighten my hair I have ridiculous amounts of flyaways and, in general, little baby hairs that won't stay down but rather start sticking up in the randomest places. This product (even though it has argan oil in it!) left my hair silky smooth but not weighed down or greasy, and really combatted frizz (which is another problem I have, even after I straighten my hair).
Another thing I really liked about this product is that even though the next morning I washed my hair and, therefore, washed the product out, because it has the oil in it, the oil was absorbed into my hair making it super smooth and soft to the touch! (I didn't use conditioner that morning so I really noticed a difference that this product made).
Overall, I think this product is really good to use especially during the summer months when it's super humid (like right now it's really humid in the area I live because we're surrounded by trees - everywhere!). I also used it today when my sister curled my hair for me (we were bored haha) and it made the curls shiny and smooth and beautiful. Hope you guys found this review helpful and I'd be glad to review any other products if you have any suggestions/requests! Have a wonderful rest of the week!
Beauty Blogging!
Hello there good people of this world! So recently, I've been watching lots of Beauty Vloggers and reading lots of their blogs as well and it got me thinking... I want to do this too! I've always been interested in beauty products and makeup and in general stuff like that so what better thing to do than review them for you guys! So let's get rolling!
So the first thing I wanted to review is the Garnier BB Cream Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector for Combination to Oily Skin in Light/Medium. This product is Dermatologist tested for safety, Noncomedogenic (won't clog pores), Non-acnegenic (won't cause breakouts), gentle to the skin, oil-free and nongreasy. It says that it immediately mattifies, minimizes pores, and conceals imperfections to give skin a naturally smooth, flawless finish.
So to start off, I've never used a tinted moisturizer and I have never used foundation before in my makeup routine. I would usually use some kind of pressed powder with some concealer underneath. But lately, I've been hearing a lot of good things about this product and I liked the fact that it was a tinted moisturizer because that seemed a little bit less daunting for me, as compared to foundation. Also, I loved the fact that it had Broad Spectrum SPF 20 in it.
Another thing, (and I don't know if this is true or not, I'll have to do some research) but I heard that using tons of foundation, or in general using it a lot is bad for your skin and could quite possibly make any skin problems worse which made me very wary about trying foundations and tinted moisturizers...
I have acne, although it has definitely calmed down from what it used to be 3 years ago. I had to see a dermatologist and was prescribed antibiotics for about a year in addition to topical treatment and with that I was able to calm down the acne and help it get better.
Because of my acne problems, I really liked this product because it really did what it said it would do. After only 3 uses, I noticed my skin looked like it had an evener tone and it looked actually more vibrant and glowing. Also, the product itself didn't look cakey on my skin when I would put it on. However, it does really show dry skin, so make sure to exfoliate before putting it on so as to decrease the amount of dead dry skin on the face that the product can latch on to. I really loved the coverage of this product because although it was not really heavy coverage, it was good enough to cover my big acne breakouts and leave my skin looking quite healthy and natural.
Overall, I give this product a 7 out of 10. The only thing I didn't like was the price ($12) but I mean, I guess in the grand scheme of things that's not too expensive. Also, I didn't really like that I couldn't use brushes with this product because it dried pretty quickly, and so I had to use my fingers (which honestly wasn't that bad either). Also, this product claimed to be all-day shine control and it does control shine really well for about 4-5 hours but after about 5-6 hours, I definitely noticed an oily shine on my face. However, I don't know if it's because my face is just uber oily or if it's this product. Please let me know if anyone also had this problem down below!
For a first-time liquid product that is a tinted moisturizer/foundation I really like this one and would recommend it to anyone! It also comes in Medium and Dark shades and comes in an anti-aging formula.
